Edmonton, AB – April 9, 2008: Effective today BBB® Serving Central and Northern Alberta has launched a new website and address at edmonton.bbb.org.

In 2007, BBB Serving Central and Northern Alberta received over 325,000 requests for information and the website received over 77,000 visitors. The new BBB web site’s user-friendly interface and improvements in system technology deliver more comprehensive responses even faster to the consumers and businesses that rely on the BBB for tips and information.

Navigation tools on every page take users directly to the pages they are interested in. Breadcrumbs help users track their way through the web site by showing users where they are in the site hierarchy and providing links to other pages.

On the home page, users have a choice of sections, each with content specific to the topic or audience:

News Center gives consumers and businesses the latest news and alerts

The News Center features information about scams, BBB events, and services in central and northern Alberta. Site visitors can filter news and tips articles in several ways: by date, by BBB city or by keyword in the archives. Instant e-mail updates, RSS feeds with consumer and business alert warnings, and news of special interest will be available soon.

To accommodate the substantial growth in central and northern Alberta, three new regional website addresses have been established at reddeer.bbb.org, grandeprairie.bbb.org and fortmcmurray.bbb.org.

In addition to assisting consumers and businesses in central and Northern Alberta, your BBB also responds to requests from the Saskatchewan area of Lloydminster, northeast British Columbia (e.g. Dawson Creek, Ft. St. John) and areas of the Northwest Territories above Alberta.
