2012 marks the 100 year anniversary of the Better Business Bureau internationally. Locally, our BBB Serving the Great White North was established in 1958 and during our early years it was led by business leaders including: A Clark Roofing and Siding Ltd, Albert's Auto Body (1989), Atco Gas Ltd, Big Iron Drilling Ltd, Blanchett Neon Ltd, CTV Edmonton, Connelly-McKinley Ltd, Edmonton Tent & Awning 2000 Inc, Grant Thornton, Healy Ford Sales Ltd, Henry Singer Fashion Group Ltd, Lafarge Canada Inc, McBain Camera Ltd, Northlands, Rain-Alta Holdings Ltd, Realtors Association of Edmonton, Southtown Chrysler Inc, Time Business Machines Ltd, Waterloo Ford Lincoln and Weathermakers Ltd. The names may be different now and the size of business exponentially larger, but these companies were trailblazers when you consider how they took the chance to agree to the BBB Standards for Trust. All of these Accredited Businesses, have been inducted into our 50 Years of Trust Club. This spring at our Annual General Meeting and Awards Celebration, Park Memorial Ltd will be inducted.
We are excited today to be a vibrant organization that is composed of 3,464 ethical businesses across Central and Northern Alberta, Northeast British Columbia and Canada’s North. The Centennial is not a celebration only for the Better Business Bureau, it is a celebration of all businesses and consumers. Thank you for your continued support in using our services and displaying the BBB Torch logo in your marketing and advertising and using our interactive online seal on your websites.
