BBB Media Release - US judge freezes Alberta marketer’s assets

Over the past three years, thousands of consumers have contacted BBB for help receiving refunds from Edmonton-area internet marketer, Jesse Willms. Back in April, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) brought charges against Mr Willms and his associates for deceptive marketing and negative billing. This week, a United States judge froze his assets and ordered him to change the way he does business.

FTC files suit against online marketer: BBBs vital to FTC effort

Last month, FTC filed an action against online marketer, Jesse Willms, who allegedly made over $450 million from consumers worldwide. His companies allegedly lured consumers using “free” or “risk-free” offers and then charged them for products or services they did not agree to.
