Prize Winning Letters

We’re getting lots of calls about letters claiming: “You have won 20 million send, $25.00 to us and we will send out your payment”. These letters are from BC and are not foreign lotteries. These letters are saying that the prize has already been won, you just need to give them money and they will arrange the transfer of funds to you.

Letters like these are scams and can be checked out and reported to PhoneBusters (The Canadian Anti-Fraud Call Centre).

Guaranteed Vehicle Brokers

There’s a new spin on the “Guaranteed Vehicle Brokers” scam. Now they are telling consumers; “Give us $500, and when the buyer picks up the vehicle, we will give you your $500 back, we make our money from the financing” (…and from you! Don’t believe it!)
